La solución Femtocell de NEC incorpora el Sistema de Gestión FAP (APMS) para aprovisionar y configurar un FAP cuando el mismo esté conectado a un modem xDSL residencial.
APMS se basa en los estándares TR-69 que son ampliamente utilizados en la gestión y aprovisionamiento de CPE del xDSL. Como el sistema posee una amplia versatilidad, podría ser expandido con el sistema de gestión de las operadoras.
